Website Purpose 

The website provides information about Rachel Smalley, TUFTED, Hillbetty Books, appearances, educator resources, community-history projects, and related books and programs. 

Intellectual Property 

Unless otherwise stated, the text, design, logos, photographs, illustrations, downloads, teaching materials, branding, and other content are owned by or licensed to Rachel Smalley or Hillbetty Books LLC. Illustrations from TUFTED are by Katie Hickey and may not be copied, altered, reproduced, or used apart from specifically authorized press or educational materials. 

Permitted Personal Use 

Visitors may view and print website content for personal, classroom, research, or noncommercial reference. Content may not be republished, sold, distributed, altered, or commercially exploited without written permission. 

Product Information 

Reasonable efforts are made to present product descriptions, availability, and images accurately. Hillbetty Books may correct errors, revise information, or cancel an order affected by an obvious pricing, inventory, or technical mistake. 

Orders and Payment 

An order is not accepted until payment has been authorized and an order confirmation has been issued. Applicable tax, shipping charges, and the disclosed credit-card processing fee will be shown before an order is submitted. Debit-card payments are exempt from the processing fee. 

Order Cancellation 

Hillbetty Books may decline or cancel an order because of suspected fraud, payment problems, inventory limitations, shipping restrictions, errors, or other reasonable operational concerns. A payment collected for a canceled order will be refunded. 

Shipping and Returns 

Online shipping is currently limited to addresses within the United States. Shipping, replacement, and refund requests are governed by the Ordering, Shipping, Returns & Customer Care Policy. 

Organizational Orders 

Schools, libraries, museums, community organizations, and businesses may request information about larger orders. An inquiry does not create a purchase agreement or reserve inventory. Special orders are governed by the written terms supplied for that order. 

Submitted Material 

Stories, photographs, memories, historical documents, and other user-provided materials are governed by the separate Submission Policy. 

Third-Party Services 

The website may use or link to independent payment processors, social-media platforms, maps, calendar tools, fulfillment providers, and outside organizations. Hillbetty Books is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices. 

Educational Information 

Educational resources and curriculum connections are general teaching support. Teachers, schools, and districts remain responsible for determining whether a resource meets their instructional, accessibility, policy, and standards requirements. 

Availability and Liability 

The website may occasionally be unavailable, incomplete, delayed, or changed because of maintenance, technical issues, or third-party services. To the extent permitted by law, Rachel Smalley and Hillbetty Books LLC are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the site or third-party services. 

Governing Law 

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
